Dr. Shannon Wilkerson EdD LPC ACS
Clinical Therapist and Approved Clincal Supervisor
Dr. Shannon Wilkerson is the CEO of MindDevelopers Counseling Supervision and works as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. Dr. Wilkerson received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Behavior Analysis from Savannah State University (Savannah, GA), a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology, and a Specialist Degree both from the University of West Georgia (Carrollton, GA); and his Ed.D in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of West Georgia. Dr. Wilkerson has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. He has worked in psychiatric treatment residential facilities, CORE services, and school settings. Dr. Wilkerson's current areas of expertise are with children, adolescents, and adults.
Approach
Dr. Wilkerson's therapeutic approach consists of several models including, Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Client-Centered, Black Positive Psychology, and Behavioral Therapy. Shannon believes that people have the natural ability to heal themselves. With client-centered therapy, he can be a vessel in helping clients navigate difficult life situations.
